So the NBA is littered with terrible rappers, but what about singing talent? Well lets take a look.
Lebron James
Not a bad falsetto. Whats that move at :25?
Shaquille O'Neal
Mind of a 10 year old. Fingers always covered in melted chocolate I bet. Feel bad for that bus. Everyone's forced to laugh at his terrible jokes instead of giving him wedgies.
Ron Artest
Another prime example of Ron Ron`s wonderful wonderful insanity. Here`s another. And another.
Greg Oden
Nice to see him upbeat.
Maurice Cheeks
Warms your heart a little bit don't it. Flat out saves the day. The greatest pregame national anthem moment ever in my opinion. This comes a close second. And this a very close third.
Jerry Stackhouse
What a hunk. Stack`s a smoothie with a voice like butter.
We have a winner.

House Party
Thanks to everyone who came out for my house-warming/Maude's birthday/chicken wing art show. It was a great success despite a busted bed and a blown speaker, a run in with the law, and a drunken, naked fight on the front lawn. Actually... that's what made it such a memorable night. Props to the few of you who brought your chicken wing renditions. I'm pretty sure Karl's simple and tasteful design will be gracing my arm within weeks. Check the pics at Sidewayshatpat.com. Maybe we'll do it again soon...

YSL Christie's Auction
Just ran across some great photos of the recently wrapped-up Christie's auction of Yves Saint-Laurent's unfathomable art collection. Check the link for pics.

Just saw this ad for the first time, but it is from 2003 apparently.

Notebook on Cities and Clothes
I've always been a fan of Wim Wenders; Wings of Desire is one of my favorite films of all time and Paris, Texas is fantastic. Harry Dean Stanton's performance in the latter is impecable by the way. Anyway, this film caught my eye at work the other day as I hadn't really heard much about it and I was pleasantly surprised.
Notebook on Cities and Clothes is a film documenting designer Yohji Yamamoto's creative process and comparing his method to Wender's own. The film explores notions of art in film and is especially concerned with the introduction of digital video in the late eighties. It looks at the concept of identity and how we relate ourselves to the clothes we wear and how the filmmaker identifies himself in his art. All in all, the flick was very interesting and quite entertaining. Another great film by Wenders. Give it a gander.

Boredom Leads to This
Winter breeds this stale sense of boredom that I've been trying to shake for the last little while. Working retail in the month of January is no help; I'm sure you all know what I'm talking about. So I'm asking for help starting a new blog dedicated to whatever tickles ones fancy.
I'll start it off by mentioning RRL's recently opened store on Melrose in LA. After seeing pics in the latest issue of Huge, I had to share the beauty with all my friends. Maybe it's because my father collects antique gas station memorabilia, but I think the use of an old, dilapidated garage as the location for a high-end boutique is a fantastic idea. There was a short article recently on Racked LA that offered shots of the new store, and I've posted one of the full exterior so you can get an idea of the vibe they're going for. Click on the link for more.

Maybe it's because I have to move soon, but I've been looking at tons of interesting uses of space lately. This photo by Andrew Bush has had me in awe for days.

House
The pic is from a series he did focusing on a house situated in Ireland. I really like his shit, but this and the series "Drive", in which he took photos of moving vehicles while driving along beside them, are probably my favorites. Check his website, andrewbush.net, for more of his stuff.
OK, that's my first post. Don't forget to give me a shout if you're interested in pitching in some randomness.
